How To Close a Starbucks Account When Someone Dies

Service: The Starbucks mobile app allows customers to create accounts and make their purchases via their account by loading money on with either cash, gift cards, or by connecting their account to a credit card. Frequent customers receive rewards and discounts for purchasing a certain number of items.
How To Disable An Account: While you cannot delete the account, you can disable it. If you contact customer service and ask them to “scramble” your account. This will make any of your account information (name, credit card number, etc.) unusable and inaccessible for them, eliminating any potential fraud. You can also delete the app from your phone.
